Logline In Seoul, a Thai immigrant working illegally in a massage parlor is in search of her missing best friend. She befriends a local Korean female tattoo artist who helps in her search, but her new friend has a dark secret that could reveal her own past trauma.
Synopsis DEUN (26) is a swimming instructor who can’t forgive herself for having let a boy die in her swimming class. Unable to overcome her guilt, she decides to follow the path her best friend MAPRANG (24) took: to work as a masseuse in Seoul. After arriving in Seoul, Deun learns that her best friend has gone missing. She begins searching for her only friend. Meanwhile, Deun befriends her regular client, JEE-UN (24), a Korean female tattoo artist. Jee-un is suffering from depression after a car accident in which she lost
her boyfriend. The two lonely souls turn to each other, and Jee-un joins the search for Maprang. Deun suspects that the massage shop owner MR. KIM (45) might be behind Maprang’s disappearance but finds no evidence of it. At work, Deun is forced to give a client a sex massage, which she reluctantly endures to save herself from a beating. To escape massage work, she runs away and seeks shelter at Jee-un’s place.
When Jee-un visits the police station in connection with her car accident case, she finds out that the accident led to not only her boyfriend’s death, but also of a yet unidentified person - who shockingly turns out to be Maprang. Realizing that Deun’s missing best friend is now dead and due to her mistake, Jee-un is engulfed by guilt and attempts suicide. Deun tries to save her but fails. A shattered Deun goes back to the massage parlor. She calls the police and waits to turn herself in.
