Logline Three brothers with a fractious relationship, set out to bring home the body of their father back to their remote village for his burial. However, 30km from reaching their van breaks down and are forced to carry his coffin for the remaining journey home.
Synopsis Pak Gani (64), a well-respected carpenter, hails from Kampung Pusu a remote little village accessible only through the old roads that run deep amidst the mountainous regions of Pahang. Raising his children, he was a strict father to three sons; Ibrahim, Yusuf, and KARIM (25) and a daughter, SARA (38), the eldest. This was more often than not a cause for resentment between all of them. His sons, now all grown up, have drifted apart from the family and moved to the city for work. The brothers still at odds with each other live separate lives.
When Pak Gani tragically suffers a stroke and dies during one of his trips away, the sons are forced to put aside their differences and bring his body home. Along with his coffin about 30km from reaching, their van breaks down. Meanwhile at their village, family members and relatives have started preparations for the burial.
When the entourage fails to turn up, Sara struggles to cope with the prospect of another ordeal in the family. She has carried a deep secret that has implications to the relationship with her siblings - Karim is her son. Stranded with no other option, the brothers decide to carry the coffin for the remainder of the journey. Through haphazard rivers, murky swamps and torrential rain, they ruminate about the rocky relationship they had with their father. As they tirelessly make their way home, the brothers realize that their resentment towards their father has ironically brought their family back together again.
